Afosa extends its Sincere Condolences on the Sad Demise of Sayed Badrudin Alhouth, Leader of the Followers of Ahlul Bait in Yemen And Strongly Condemns Barbaric Attack on Them during Celebrations of Ghadir

And reckon not those who are killed in Allah's way as dead; nay, they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord;

It is with deep sadness that we have received the news of the passing away of Hujjat Islam Wal Muslimeen Sayed Badrudin Al Houthi, the Senior Spiritual Leader of Followers of Ahlul Bait (as) in Yemen on the sacred Day of Eid Al Ghadir.

At the same time, we also heard the tragic news of a attack of Wahhabi Terrorists on Caravan of Lovers of Ahlul Bait celebrating Eid Al Gahdir in al Jouf (Yemen) which resulted in martyrdom of more than 23 Momineen.

On behalf of the Ahlul Bait (as) Foundation of South Africa and all its national affiliates, we hereby convey our heart rendered condolences to our beloved living Imam Mahdi (as), to Grand Spiritual Authorities (Marjaiyya’a) ,the honored Houthi family , oppressed followers of Ahlul bait in Yemen & Muslim Ummah at the sad demise of that legendary figure and friend of ALLAH, Hujjatul Islam Sayed Badrudin Al Houthi (May he be in peace and in the august company of his predecessors (as) and also Martyrdom of Lovers of Wilayat on the Day of Ghadir.

The tragedy of Ghadir day in Yemen once again showed the ugly face and blind hatred of some so called Muslims who are tools and agent of Neo Colonists in dividing the Muslim Ummah everywhere.

The Shia Community of Yemen is one of the most marginalised, oppressed and ostracized Community by Yemeni Authorities with Saudi support. In last couple of years they have been persecuted and massacred based on various unfound accusations.

We reiterate our condolences, and urge patience and perseverance to all family and friends, and we pray that Almighty Allah grant all the Shuhada of Yemen the highest accolades in His Paradise. We hope and pray that Almighty shower this Ummah with the great favour of Unity and defeat the agents of its enemies. Ameen
